Linda Al Obahi
Linda Al Obahi is a Senior Political Affairs and Mediation Advisor at Peace Track Initiative (PTI). She is a former Political Advisor at the French Embassy to Yemen during the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) and the Drafting of the New Yemeni Constitution, receiving the Golden Medal of Honor for Foreign Affairs from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in 2015. In her role with PTI, Linda is leading efforts to update and develop the Feminist Peace Roadmap in Yemen (FPR), promoting women's inclusion in peacebuilding, and the Mobilizing Men for Feminist Peace project, engaging men in gender equality efforts while countering militarized masculinities in Yemen.
Yemen is in a state of limbo: neither at war nor at peace. Our decade-long suffering will echo through generations if the conflict persists. It is time for peace.
At the Security Council
Linda Al Obahi, Senior Political Affairs and Mediation Advisor at Peace Track Initiative, was invited to provide a civil society perspective and recommendations when the Security Council met to discuss the situation in Yemen in September 2024.
